366- True Friend Circle Card

I made this card using the layout from the Simply Sunday Sketch Challenge #5. I wanted to use in colours and once I started with it I just kept trying to add circular elements to match both the stamps and the layout. I used the texture plates that had the different sized dots on either side but decided to use them backwards- I liked the dry embossed dots facing inwards.

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Dusty Durango

Accessories: 1 3/8" 1 1/4" 1" 3/4" circle punches, scallop edge punch, brad punch, big shot, texturz plate, rhinestone brads, 1/2" bermuda bay grosgrain ribbon, sponges

288- True Friend Surprise Pop-Up

This card used two really fun techniques- pastel embossing and surprise pop-up. It also used the great new in colours- I love how bright and bold they are.

I used the pastel embossing technique to give the flower some pop. With the Stampin' Up! pastels you get every single colour that we sell (excluding the in-colours). You can add colour to any embossed image using a blender pen (sold in my starter kit) and the pastels- you emboss in white and then colour on top.

To do the surprise pop-up I used sticky strip. I'm telling you- this is a must have product...especially on movable cards. This card does need to be finished off with a ribbon- I'm just waiting to order the new in colour ribbons and I will add the crushed curry ribbon to help pull up the insert. If you are interested in participating in my ribbon share please look at the posting below for more information.

277- True Baroque Card

This was cased from this creation by Michelle Zindorf. I absolutely loved the frame effect and love using her tutorials to practice my sponging techniques. Plus I got to try the faux burnt edges technique on the bottom. I actually made this card a little while ago but I made it for a friend's birthday and was just able to give it to her so I couldn't post it until now.

Recipe:

Stamps: True friend, baroque motifs

Paper: Whisper white, old olive

Ink: Regal rose, pretty in pink, old olive, certainly celery, creamy caramel, close to cocoa, chocolate chip, basic black

Accessories: Clear embossing, sponges, cutter kit

272- Downline Meeting Card Challenge

I'm back! I know it has been awhile since I have posted regularly- unfortunately I was pretty busy with work and then I went on vacation. But I'm back and have some great cards to post and am looking forward to stamping regularly- I missed it!

Today I hosted a downline meeting for 5 members of my team and we had a great time. I gave them a little challenge and the results were great. I cut all of the pieces of a card and gave them two stamp sets- True Friend for images and Short and Sweet for a sentiment. They could only use the pieces that I had cut and some tools that I put on the table. No other embellishments were allowed. Here is what they came up with- how cute are they?!

Recipe:

Stamp Sets: True Friend, Short and Sweet

Paper: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, whisper white

Ink: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry

Accessories: Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, ticket corner punch, corner rounder punch, eyelet border punch, scallop edge punch, markers

240- True Friend Marble Card

I have been wanting to play with marbles for a while and finally did it. I was stamping at Julie's and was up looking at her new nursery and found a pail of marbles in the playroom- awesome!! So after stealing toys from a child (sorry Kobe) I was able use them in my stamping!

I love how it turned out- I just wanted a nice blank card and like the effect. This was also a great way to use up my in colour paper- I will miss these colours when they retire next month!

Stamps: True Friend

Paper: Baha breeze, pacific point, kiwi kiss, whisper white

Ink: Baha breeze, pacific point, kiwi kiss

Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch, brad punch, vintage brad, kiwi kiss/very vanilla satin ribbon, marbles
