328- Tuxedo Tree Card

This layout was from the splitcoast layout challenge last week (SC257). I decided I wanted to just keep this card clean and simple with black and white and just some dazzling diamonds on the trees. It was SOOO hard for me to not use embellishments and corner punches but I really do like the tuxedo look. Plus the background is all dry embossed which adds enough wow to the card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Lovely as a tree

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black

Ink: Basic Black

Accessories: Big shot, texturz plate, dazzling diamonds, 1 1/4" square punch

327- Santa Snowglobe Card

I have seen a few snowglobe cards and was inspired to make my own. I love the finished product- he is ridiculously cute.

I used tombow to adhere the chunky glitter around the globe. I also embossed the santa because it makes it easier to colour it in.

Recipe:

Stamps: Jolliest Time of the Year, Fundamental Phrases

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red Textured Paper

Ink: Real red, Basic Black

Accessories: Black embossing, word window punch, modern label punch, photo corners punch, coluzzle, chunky essentials

326- Teal Noel Card

I really wanted to do a bright and happy Christmas card and I thought teal would be the perfect colour. I just kept it simple and clean bold and bright. Love it!

I used clear embossing with my stamp-a-ma-jig to make the main image shiny.

I CANNOT stop making gate fold cards this way- it's so much fun! Cut your paper down vertically so you get two pieces that are 4 1/4" x 11". Score the paper at 2 3/4" on each side to get this opening

Recipe:

Stamps: Big on Christmas

Paper: Taken with Teal, Whisper White, Holiday Lounge DSP

Ink: Taken with teal

Accessories: Clear embossing

325- Holly Jolly Christmas Card

I just love the mojo monday sketch challenges- I always think that trying to figure out a layout is the hardest part. When I saw this layout I knew I wanted to use my scallop circle die. I also wanted to use this DSP because I adore this holiday treasures paper- it's so much fun!

On the main image I used a few scattered dazzling diamonds just to give it a bit of shine. I also sponged around the edges just to soften it.

I was super excited to use the buttons- I never ever use them and am always looking for an opportunity to break them out. To adhere them I use the crystal effects- I think it works the best.

Recipe:

Stamps: A Holly Jolly Christmas

Paper: Old Olive, Ruby Red, Whisper White, Holiday Treasures DSP

Ink: Old Olive, Ruby Red

Accessories: Big shot, coluzzle, riding hood red buttons, dazzling diamonds, crystal effects, corner rounder, scallop circle #2 die

324- Gold Gift Card Holder

border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410846333105826658" />
I have been wanting to make one of these gift card holder cards for a while. I just wanted to keep it simple for the holidays and make it as shiny as possible! Seriously- it is all about the bling! (is that word still being used?)

It was also my first time using the printed window sheets. They are just fantastic and add such a nice background. To adhere to the cardstock I used the glue dots where there were snowflakes so it could be hidden- if you use a glue runner you would be able to see it.

To make this you cut your cardstock vertically so you get a piece that is 4 1/2" x 11". You then score at 3" on each side and 5 1/2" in the middle. Use sticky strip to hold the card together. You then cut a slot on the inside for the gift card to fit in- I also used punches so it's easier to take the card out.

Recipe:

Stamps: Heritage Holidays

Paper: Brushed Gold, Whisper White

Accessories: Gold embossing, 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, Snowflake Printed Window sheet, glue dots, word window punch

323- Medallion Card

I have seen so many fantastic cards using this stamp and I am still playing with it. As soon as I saw this colour challenge on splitcoast (CC247) I knew I wanted to use the stamp. I decided to go with a square card so that the image was symmetrical on the paper. I was going to put a sentiment on it but I really liked it as a blank card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Medallion

Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Basic Black

Accessories: Black and gold embossing, brad punch, vintage and gold brads, 1 3/4" circle punch, ticket corner punch

Greece Scrapbook- Delos

I have got to get this scrapbook by the end of the month so it's crunch time. As you can see by the pics at the top I had a layout and background. But my problem is I just can't seem to cut down on the pictures. I wish I could just pick 3 to do an amazing background but I love them so much! I have a goal of a page a day so I can give it as a Christmas gift- I have a feeling the coming pages won't be elaborate!
