340- MOJO122 Tarty Birds

As soon as I saw this layout from the MojoMonday challenge last week (MOJO122) I knew I wanted to use this fantastic Raspberry Tart from last year's catalogue- I just adore it. I used the bird stamp because it's a cute little image but the paper is still highlighted

I still don't have a scallop oval die for my big shot so to make this shape I first cut out an oval with my coluzzle. I then take the foot stand off of my corner rounder and punch around the oval to get the scallops. I then used a white gel pen in each scallop as a finishing touch.

I learned from my upline Laura Robinson to sponge around the edge of a whisper white piece of cardstock to soften the image and lines. I sponged in cameo coral, then I wiped my versamarker on top of the sponging. I then embossed iridescent powder to give it a sparkle.

Recipe:

Stamps: Love You Much, Baroque Motifs

Paper: Cameo Coral, Rose Red, Raspberry Tart, Whisper White

Ink: Cameo Coral, Rose Red, white gel pen

Accessories: 1/4" whisper white grosgrain ribbon, white embossing, coluzzle, corner rounder, iridescent embossing, sponging

337- Love Birds

I am loving this layout- it's so much fun (SC263). There really is nothing like a splitcoast challenge- it always makes me think outside the box. And you wouldn't think of these colours right away for a Valentine but it works (CC253).

I wanted the love birds to have some shine without too much glitter. I used my versamarker to colour in the image and used irridescent embossing. It didn't really turn out unless you look at it up close. I'm wondering if that's because the image wasn't stamped on white. Next time I will use my shimmer paint for the shine.

Recipe:

Stamps: Love You Much

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip

Ink: Rich Razzleberry

Accessories: Big shot, plenty of petals embossing folder, 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, metallic eyelets, crop-o-dile, irridescent embossing, coluzzle, dazzling diamonds, versamarker

333- Hugs Kisses and Hearts Card

It's time for Valentine Cards! With this layout I was really able to play with punches which I always love! This layout comes from a splitcoast layout challenge (SC263).

I tried to add a lot of detail to the central image inside the hearts. On the outer vanilla layer I sponged Pink Pirouette around the edges to soften it. I used my cropadile to punch the holes in the stamped image scallop, then glued a Pretty in Pink Scallop circle behind so that the pink would peek through. I then used tombow to adhere the chunky glitter- I really wanted a super shiny middle.

I am holding a Valentine's class next Sunday, January 24th at 1pm in Mississauga. For $15 you can come over and make Valentine's using this fantastic stamp set. If you are in the GTA please come by! Email me to RSVP

You are going to see quite a few cases in the next little while because I went to megameeting last week and was completely camera happy. I was so inspired and wanted to reproduce many of the cards. 195- Emboss Resist Love Card

I went to a meeting last weekend and went home really excited to sponge and emboss resist. I made this card at one of my clubs to fulfill the CC203 colour challenge for the week. Unfortunately I did not use an embossing buddy so it is a bit messy- definitely will use it next time!

Recipe:

Stamps: Love you much, wonderful words

Paper: Pacific Point, Baha breeze, garden green, glossy white

Ink: Pacific Point, Baha breeze, garden green

Accessories: sponges, white embossing
Techniques: emboss resist, sponging, masking

194- Riding Hood Red Valentine

This is a card that I made for a workshop that I did last weekend. I wanted a simple card to start with to introduce them to stamping and I think this worked really well. It definitely got them excited to keep going!

Stamps: Love you much

Paper: Riding hood red, very vanilla, close to cocoa, candy lane DSP

Ink: Close to Cocoa, riding hood red

Accessories: Ticket corner punch, blender pen, 1/4" riding hood red taffeta ribbon

193- Cherish Valentine

I wanted to make a very simple card for this challenge using the love you much bundle. The only thing that I would do different next time is I would do a riding hood red border around the big square piece

Recipe:

Stamps: Love you much, warm words

Paper: Very vanilla, riding hood red, candy lane DSP

Ink: riding hood red, pink pirouette

Accessories: Small and large oval punches, scallop circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, dazzling diamonds

184- Parisian Love You Card

This is the card that I made for the sketch challenge this week. I wanted to use some DSP that was retiring and also my love you much set- I love how it turned out. It could be a Valentine or an Easter card.

To make the circles you use your slit punch. Punch three slits in a row, then fold the circles back to create a space. Hang this over the edge of another piece of cardstock to get the multilayered effect. Thanks Becca for showing me this!

Recipe:

Stamp set: Love you much

Ink: bravo burgundy, so saffron

Paper: bravo burgundy, so saffron, pink pirouette, Parisian Summer DSP, whisper white

Accessories: 1/4" pretty in pink taffeta ribbon, slit punch

181- Love You Glitter Card

I am so excited to be doing the splitcoast challenges again! This is my card for the Tacky Glitter technique challenge this week. I highly recommend to all of you to try the challenges that they have- even if you case one of the cards in the gallery it is always nice to try something new. Here

Marni came over today and made this card with me. As soon as I saw the challenge I knew that I wanted to do diagonal stripes and that I wanted to use the Love You Much bundle in some way and this is what we came up with. I just LOVE it! And it was easy to do- you have to use the Sticky Strip to make the stripes. To use two different colours of glitter just remove the top of the sticky strip of each alternating one to do all the red, then when it is done use the pink. I absolutely love the finished product.

Stamp Set: Love you much

Paper: Riding hood red, Pretty in pink, Very vanilla

Ink: Riding hood red

Accessories: chunky essentials glitter, chunky sprinkles glitter, sticky strip

Love You Much Bundle Card Kit

Stampin' Up is currently offering a promotion on a bundle of products that will be sold in the Spring/Summer Catalogue. By purchasing this bundle you will be saving 20% off the cost of the three products:

Love you much Stamp Set
Heart to Heart Punch
Candy Lane Designer Series Paper

This bundle is available until Jan 31st and costs $50.28 (plus tax and ship). It is a fantastic deal for any of you who will be making Valentine's this year.

The products themselves are great- the punch matches one of the stamps in the set and the stamps can be used for Valentine's, weddings, showers, and many other occasions. The designer series paper has 4 colours- Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red. The designs themselves are incredibly versatile and are not specific for Valentine's so can be used year round.

Anyone who purchases this bundle from me will receive a card kit for the 4 cards that are pictured here and described below. This kit includes:

- the Love You Much bundle
- detailed instructions with pictures of the cards
- all ribbon that was used
- all paper needed to make the cards

I made sure to make one card in each of the colours from the DSP and made sure to use each stamp in the kit so that you will use every item that you purchase in the bundle.

All that you will need is the ink and any corner punches. I will send you punched out larger pieces that were used.

177- Love You Much Bundle Card 4

This is the last card in the kit that I made- I love the end effect with the punch outs. It's a different layout than I usually do and I really like it

176- Love You Much Bundle Card 3

This is the second card- there is going to be a new large heart punch in the new catalogue to punch out the image but for now I really like this look.
